The Abbey Theatre

This poster was designed for a screen play adaptation of John Michael McDonagh’s Calvary. The concept is based on the unfolding of the past mistakes in the Catholic Church. This has tested people’s faith and forgiveness. Using paper shapes of the confessional box, they start to unfold leading to one red shape with crosses representing sins of the past. These sins lead to the death of Father James, a good priest who has been punished.
